Places to meet and find out what is going on in Eastfield

Well no shortage of places to meet and find out what is going on in Eastfield and no shortage of ways to get involved.

 Eastfield Community Centre, home of Eastfield Parish Council, here you will find our office open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.30am to 11.00am, we meet as a Council on the last Monday of every month at 7.00pm in the small meeting room next door to the office apart from August and December. All Eastfield residents are welcome to attend, here you will have the opportunity to raise issues or report problems that are important to you! So come along and find out what’s happening.

The Community Centre is also home to many community groups and clubs who meet on different days and times. Located on the High Street it is easy to find so why not give the centre a call and see if there is something for you, the main hall and small room can also be hired for party’s and events Telephone 01273 583524

 

 Library/Resource centre, here you can do so much more than borrow a book! Located on the High Street opposite the Community centre it is a great place to find out information, you can speak to Yorkshire Coast Homes, Scarborough Borough Council (Customer First) and North Yorkshire police. You can browse the World Wide Web and have a coffee… who knows you might even leave with a book that you like!

Customer First opening times are as follows;

Open: Monday, Tuesday and Friday 10.00 am to 12.30 p.m. and 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Thursday 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

 Coasters Café, formally the old rent office this building has been transformed into a popular place to meet up. Eastfield Parish Council kick started the funding to convert the place into the Café it is today with £10,000. Open from 9.00am to 2.00pm it offers good food and good company. So why not pop in and see what’s on offer

 Eastfield House, formally the old doctors’ surgery at Eastfield has been transformed into the new offices for Twenty Four 7 Care Services Ltd.  Eastfield House currently provides Day Care Monday to Friday and is available from 8.00am – 6.00pm. Eastfield House also hosts a regular Thursday Luncheon Club.  For prices and further information please ring 01723 502410.

 

Carewatch (North & East Riding of Yorkshire) which provides a homecare service to clients in their own homes also operates from Eastfield House.  Enquiries for Carewatch (NERY) to 01723 585355.
